President Buhari Cancels Official Trip To Lagos Over “Ear Infection”

President Muhammad Buhari has canceled his planned two-day official trip to Lagos state slated to start on Monday, May 23, 2016 over what has been described by his aides as a disturbing “ear infection”, according to reports from Sahara Reporters.

The President will however be represented at various official events scheduled for the two-day visit by the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo.

The online New York based publication also claimed that the cancellation of the trip has a political connotation as Buhari was reportedly unhappy with a meeting the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader Bola Tinubu had with organized labor under the aegis of the NLC (Nigeria Labor Congress)  last week without clearance from the Presidency.
