The National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Olisa Metuh, has arrived the premises of the Federal High Court in Abuja for the continuation of his corruption trial, regardless of ill-health.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is accusing Metuh of receiving N400 million from a former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, who is being prosecuted for allegedly mismanaging $2.1billion meant for arms procurement.

Last week Thursday, Metuh, who apparently exhibited symptoms of ill-health, had repeatedly vomited at the premises of the court, after receiving medication at the National Hospital the previous night.
His counsel, Emeka Etiaba, prayed the court to adjourn the case to enable the PDP spokesperson, who was not feeling too well, return to the hospital.

The presiding judge, Justice Okon Abang, then adjourned the trial to Monday, May 23, for continuation of trial.
It was gathered that Metuh may be requesting that the court grant him permission to travel to the United Kingdom for five weeks on medical ground.

This is even as his lawyer, Etiaba (SAN) is seeking the release of his client’s travel passport for that purpose.
